There was another issue (HP or Windows problem, I'm not sure) last year where closing the lid and using only the monitor would have sort of permformance issue where the laptop would need to be restarted for it all to happen again later.Īny practical and useful suggestions out there please? I've done a search and found some issues similar but nothing which describes this issue.Īll tests done with laptop lid open. The strange thing is that I can do any of the above and it will work, the screen flicks black ever so briefly, before coming to life on the external monitor or I can try these and it doesn't work and it's only started to happen in the last few months.

I wanted to stop in to address the issue people have been noticing with the black screen in the game.
Since I know without a doubt this is what will work, I would like to figure out how to get it to work for you or anyone else having this problem.
Maybe you could post back with more info on what type PC or laptop you have, and go back over the steps you tried (I may not have explained it well). I know that this works, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know whether this won't work on some computers. I wish I could think of others things to help, but maybe some other "techie" person out there could step in and offer some advice. This I'm not sure of, but I have read where some computers will not accept this change until you do a restart. Even though I don't have to do this on my computer.did you tap on "apply" before getting out of the display settings? Is your display (fonts and everything) much larger than before? (after you change the slider to 125%) Since I'm not a tech expert, the only thing I can think of is to ask you a couple of questions, to see if you actually have your computer on the 125% display: I'm sorry this didn't work for you, because this is the third game for me that I have experienced this problem, and it has worked for me every time.
